London Part 1

My third week here in London has just started, even though I feel like I've just arrived here.I'm always very busy with school, visiting exhibitions and going out with friends, that i didn't have the chance to write something in here until now.
I'll try to show you my experiences through pictures rather than explaining it in words, wich makes it a lot easier for all of us ;)
Let's start from the beginning.
My mother Verena prepared an absolutely lovely lunch for me to start my journey. -->

After a delay of over 1 and a half hours I finally arrived in London Luton. It took me at least another two hours to get to my residence where I live with other students.
Airport Transfer in Zurich
I'm taking two different classes at school, one is an IELTS exam preparation, the other is teaching general english.School starts at 9 and finishes at 4, which makes it possible for me to use the rest of the day for some other activities.
I got all kinds of recommendations where to go and what to see and I'm doing my best to see as much as possible.

Not knowing where to start i went to the famous Piccadilly Circus, I was lucky for the sunny day!

There was a huge M&M shop near Piccadilly Circus, where I simply had to have a look around.

Since I'm in London I'd better be off starting to drink beer,  but I found a wonderful alternative, the cider.
(Not the one in the Picture though)

The weather in engalnd is famously awfull and I won't be the one declining it, but there are certainly some magnificent moments of sunlight, or in that case even  a rainbow.

As a person who loves to dance I had to explore London's Nightlife, here in Fabric, a pretty popular club and a stunning location, but a little bit too expensive.
On saturday, my first day off, I tried to see loads of things, starting with a very vivid market called the borough market with a big variety of food, and it's always very busy.
I came across this impressive building while walking through the streets, it's called the shard. It's also in the background of the picture above.

That saturday was quiet tough for my legs since I walked a pretty long distance troughout London.
Step by step by step!
I was visiting the London museum of Fashion and Textile with an exhibition about mexican fashion.
Walking through the streets I discovered this lovely little park with flowers and nature in the middle of the city.
So that were some of my first impressions I had here, I will post some more about the tate modern maybe tomorrow, let's see. I hope you enjoy reading my blog otherwise let me know what I could do better!
Very much love from London!
Valérie
